ABOUT THIS PAINTING
Simply one of my favorite birds. Before the creation of “Spring Chickadees”, I originally planned on creating a composition around pussy willows but the combination of dead leaves and new buds in the spring grabbed my attention first. And as spring arrived again, old ideas made their way to the canvas. The bluish background adds a cool feeling to this spring composition, and makes all the light on the branches and buds pop!
