Barkerville is one of my favorite places to visit when I visit the Cariboo Region
of BC. And during one of my visits I spotted a fox scurrying around the buildings
and boardwalks looking for food. I followed him with my camera through the historic
town until he made his way through the lush hillsides and into the nearby forest.
These animals are frequent visitors to the park. I learned that unfortunately some
visitors forget that they are wild animals, and feeding them has led to the
occasional visitor getting bitten, which then sadly leads to these beautiful creature getting put down.
Please always remember to keep your distance from any wildlife and respect their boundaries.
