I wanted to capture the excitment Coho are known for being they are aggressive fighters when hooked which makes them a popular game fish. This one managed to get away! They are also known as the "silver salmon" and have been known to jump more than 6 feet in the air.
This painting was donated to the Fraser River Sturgeon Conservation Society to help raise funds for the protection of the white sturgeon.
